Emerald Downs is located in beautiful Auburn, Washington. The track consists of a one mile dirt oval and a 7 furlong turf course. The feature event at Emerald Downs is the Longacres Mile, which is a Gade III event. The Longacres Mile is known simply as “The Mile.”

Track History & Quick Facts
In 1935, the Longacres Mile was inaugurated with a $10,000 purse. Today, The Mile is still the richest stakes event west of Chicago and north of the Bay Area. This Grade III race is highly anticipated every year. The Mile Weekend takes place in late August or early September. The Northwest part of the United Stakes is home to great horse race betting action at Emerald Downs.
