Fairmount Park Raceway
Fairmount Park Raceway opened its doors in 1925 and is located in Collinsville, Illinois, which is actually part of the St.Louis, Missouri metropolitan area. It’s the only Illinois horse race track situated outside of the Chicago metropolitan area, and holds racing through the summer months.

The Fairmount track is a one-mile dirt oval, with 1,050 feet from the last turn to the finish line. There is no turf course.
Track History & Quick Facts
Fairmount Park Raceway was home to both Thoroughbred and Standardbred harness racing up until 1999, when harness racing was dropped. Still, tradition runs deep here. Fairmount Park Raceway features a Junior Jockey Club, which is a free program for children 13 years old or under that focuses on learning about Fairmount Park and horse racing in general. Fairmount Park Raceway truly is an exceptional entertainment center for all ages.
