Track History & Facts
In 1980, Turf Paradise founder Walter Cluer sold the track and Turf Paradise was renovated. A new seven-furlong infield turf course was constructed. It had a one mile and one-eight chute. Nine years later, another new owner took over and Turf Paradise ventured into off-track wagering. The new move was correct as Turf Paradise began showing a profit and was able to pay down debts. Turf Paradise is now featured at hundreds of simulcast locations.
